        During the past 15 years, with the development and changes in the economics and culture of the precision manufacturing industries with clocks and clocks, the unit has also been constantly adjusted, upgraded or transformed. It can be roughly divided into three periods, namely: “Shenzhen Watch & Clock Research and Development Service Center” was started.         From 2002 to 2009, Shenzhen Watch and Clock R&D Service Center. The Shenzhen Watch and Clock Industry Association cooperated with the Shenzhen Municipal Government to establish private-owned business units with the support of the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Trade and Industry, and piloted some advanced industries such as watches and clocks with hi-tech technologies. The goal is to provide the industry with services such as quality inspection, design research and development, technical training and information exchange through the establishment of a public service platform for small and medium-sized enterprises in the watch industry, which will help the industry accelerate the pace of catching up with Swiss manufacturing standards and Hong Kong's design and processing standards.

        2009-2015, Shenzhen Watch and Clock Research Institute. Based on the platform's operating capability and industrial development needs, it was officially approved by Shenzhen Science and Technology Industry and Information Technology Committee and Shenzhen Civil Affairs Bureau to be renamed “Shenzhen Watch and Clock Research Institute”. The goal of this phase is to further promote the Shenzhen Watch and Clock Industry Cluster Base. The construction of the watch and clock headquarter economic building established the development planning project for the internationalization of the public service platform for the watch industry, and strives to attract a full range of service capabilities through perfect policy support, technology research and development, talent training, market development, and operating sites. The small international brands that entered China set up the Greater China headquarters in Shenzhen. At the same time, they supported the promotion of Shenzhen watch companies exporting brands to the international market and increasing the overall value-added of the industry.

        2015-2017, Shenzhen Watch and Smart Wear Institute. After successfully fulfilling the research task of "China's Wearable Smart Product Development Trend Study" issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Institute has determined that in the future, it must provide a more tightly-coupled pulse for the development of the industry and serve the wearable industry with broad prospects. The concept of cross-border upgrade of cooperation between traditional watch industry and smart technology was formally approved by Shenzhen Economic and Information Committee and Shenzhen Civil Affairs Bureau, and was officially transformed into “Shenzhen Watch and Smart Wear Research Institute”.
